"We had a great year playing baseball. The team participated in the U9 Red River Valley Jamboree along with the Grand Slam tournament Summer Havok in Stonewall which also consisted of a pitch, hit and run competition.
The players learned a lot of fundamentals and technique but most of all it was a lot of fun. By playing the game of baseball the players enjoyed team comradery that you don’t get playing other sports or activities. Everyone supported one another and cheered each other on whether in the field or in the dugout the players cheered for one another. The team was also helped tremendously with the leadership and expertise of the assistant coaches Karl Campbell and Ashley Ruston. It was their coaching that made the season a success for all the players. Hopefully, we see everyone return next year for another successful season of baseball at Valley Gardens.
Thank you to the Valley Gardens Community Club for providing us with the bases, catchers equipment, balls, bats and a pitching machine to allow the players to have this opportunity to meet one another, become friends with one another, support one another and have so much fun playing the game of baseball.
It is greatly appreciated that we had this wonderful opportunity. "
