2025 outdoor Season

Recreational Soccer Programs

U4-6 Tim Bits Micro Soccer Outdoor Registration will open in spring 2025

For players born in the years 2019-2021 (U4-6) there will be an in-house league at VGCC in May and June.

  • U4-U5 will most likely play Mondays & Wednesdays at 6pm

  • U6 will most likely play Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6pm

Registration is expected to open in March through the RAMP registration system.

If your computer/phone defaults to a general RAMP website you may need to go clear your cache/cookies and try again.

If you already have a RAMP account you will log in with that. If this is your first time using RAMP to register for an activity you will create an account. Your new account can be used for any sports league using RAMP (many leagues in the city now use it).

Late registration (TBD) will be subject to a late fee and confirmation from our convener that we have space.

Payment of the MSA (Manitoba Soccer Association) fee is paid directly through the RAMP system and will require a credit card. This is not something we at VGCC have control over.

The program registration fee can be paid by e-transfer, credit card online (link in registration forms), or in person at the office.

We will host one Saturday session to complete payment and assist with online registration if needed in the skate room. Entry is along the east (left) side across from the rinks.

Players will receive a coloured Tim Bits jersey to wear, to be returned. Players will need athletic shorts, tall socks, cleats (or running shoes), and shin pads. Cleats are often available second hand from Play It Again Sports as well as Once Upon A Child. New cleats and shin pads are commonly founds at Canadian Tire.

Our soccer convener will update families about team formation and expectations in mid-April. A reminder that team formation is often delayed by a lack of coaches. Please consider signing up to coach - you’ll have a lot of fun supporting this youth activity.

We thank Tim Hortons for their continued support of Micro-Soccer programs.

Micro-soccer players may be eligible for subsidized registration through the GCWCC - details provided by GCWCC regarding eligibility.

U9-U18 Recreational soccer - outdoor

Registration for U9-U18 (born 2007-2016) rec soccer is through Phoenix Soccer. Registration information is pending

The outdoor soccer season runs from May through June.

From Phoenix website (2023):

At the conclusion of registration, teams will be created. Teams are usually a combination of players from a number of community clubs playing out of a host club.  Your child MAY be placed on a team hosted by any of the clubs in the district. For example, even if you live in the Gateway catchment area, you could be assigned to a team out of Valley Gardens.

In some situations, Phoenix may not have enough players to field a team.  In those situations, we will look to transfer the players to another community centre outside of the Phoenix district.

On rare occasions, players from different ages may be combined in order to form a team.  We do our best to avoid doing this.

A team representative will contact you approximately two weeks prior to the start of the season.

Schedule Release Date:
TBA by Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association

Financial assistance for U9-18 rec soccer is available through Sport Manitoba KidSport
